it's a monday.. it's only 1030am and im already pissed off.. >=(
why?
ok.. let me just rant about this.. i just have to..
we have a $7 meal allowance if we ever do overtime.. with that said.. doesnt it mean that it is up to us to use the allowance so long as we produce the needed receipts?!?
an email was sent informing us that we should only be paying for our meals and not meals for 2 people.. since i was the first one who reimbursed (with great difficulty) for OT allowances.. i knew he was referring to my receipts..
ok.. there were receipts that had two orders of burgers in it.. but wait.. did i ask for more than $7 in my reimbursement form.. NO.
coz i understood the policy.. maybe they dont.
does it always mean that if there were two orders of whatever in the receipt, i was ordering for two persons? how do they qualify the receipts? say, my guy teammate ordered for 3 burgers since his hungry, would that mean he was ordering for 3 persons?
he said that it was not him who questioned it but rather the one to whom he was reporting.. and he said that if i do have an issue with it, i should take it up with his immediate supervisor.. uh duh? are we not reporting to you? shouldnt you be the one who questioned it first when it was initially brought up?
you may not be a contractor anymore.. but you were, a couple of months ago.. tsk tsk.. all the more that you should understand our point of view..
it's not like we're stealing from 'your' company.. nor are we trying to get more than what is due to us.. in fact even with the allowance, we're still working beyond the number of hours that we are being paid for.. i wasnt really complaining but you started it.. making us feel less just because of our employment status..
heck, we dont need your so called allowance.. it's all yours! so long as you dont expect us to work beyond the expected working hours..
sad to say, that people do change.. and sometimes for the worst.. or maybe they're really like that (even before i met them) and i was just not aware of it.. well, too bad for me..

they don't give you the $7 as cash naman di ba? unless may receipt, they won't give it back. eh anong prob don?!
pinagiinitan ka lang ata dyan eh. eh di lalo mong inisin. buy 3 items always. that can't be grounds for termination naman eh. mwehehe! =P
mali nga yun ... it's supposed to be $7 or less, pero it shouldn't matter how many things you order ... I like Harbs' suggestion.
i agree that was a stupid call. that person's a moron. don't we all have rights to order extra rice? extra drinks? extra burgers?
i certainly hope that person's reading this one, huh? moron moron moron...

just an update.. i sent an email to and CCd our manager regarding my team lead's attitude toward things.. this team lead spent hours talking to me.. to address issues daw..
lam nyo ba.. hay naku.. naiiyak na naman ako.. insultuhin ba pagkatao ko..
when one is given a project you've to do an analysis and give your estimated deadline.. and syempre since im doing development work.. my estimates are based on the development effort needed.. right? project management stuffs and meetings are not included.. tama ba namang sabihin na im after the money.. that my attitude shows that i wanna be paid for every minute that i spent daw with the company..
stupid! how did he deduce that? ive never been so insulted in all my life! ikayayaman ko ba yang pera nila!
for someone who's suppose to have more project management experience than me.. that's so immature and unprofessional!

teka, to clarify: yung estimates mo does NOT include meetings. eh di dapat lalo silang matuwa, dahil 100% utilization yung binibigay mong estimates sa kanila. tsaka alam ba nya na nag-o-OT ka? pag kinausap mo na yung manager nyo, magdala ka ng detailed timesheets, makikita naman nila yon don di ba? grabe, pati tenga ko umiinit sa inis ah!
ano, ipakulam na natin? kumuha ka ng buhok, i-mail mo kay mama si pinas. papa-orasyunan natin yang mokong na yan! =P
when I consult any of my programmers for timetable and estimated labour needed for a project, I surely expect them to give me what I asked for - nothing more, nothing less. I'll take care of the meetings etc that I will need to add onto it myself...
