phuket trip
ok, ok.. i know this post is looooong overdue.. 3 weeks and counting.. in fact there have been a lot of happenings lately that i havent wrote down.. it's coz of work and the change in lifestyle, trying to be fit and all.. =p guess i have to start taking a notebook with me all the time and write down my thoughts.. keeping a 'blog post' in my head is not working..
so how was phuket?ive been asked a couple of times and my answer was always - it was great! and it really was =)
how was the beaches?
beaches? hahaha! yep.. had a hard time answering that one..
when you lived and grew in a country with lots of beaches.. the place would seem nothing sort of special.. more so if you've been to palawan.. *dreamy eyes* =D
the beach in the location that we chose (with the most affordable hotels) is almost non-existent.. a few meters of sand and that's it.. but in spite of that, we saw a lot of tourists staying in the area and truly enjoying themselves.. puzzling, huh? =S
so what makes phuket particularly appealing to tourists?
the hotels perhaps.. the amenities.. the availability and comfort of the accomodations that you can find right there by the beach.. cross the street and you're there!
the hotel reception area is filled with brochures of different tour packages that you can readily take.. schedule, food, transportation included..
the quality of the transportation, be it in land or water, may also be an added bonus for phuket.. and the fooood.. there's nothing to complain about the food.. you get your money's worth for anything that you may crave for.. from the authentic tom-yam and green curry to the coconut ice cream that is being sold similar to our dirty ice cream back home.. *yummy*
to sum it all up, our trip was still a blast! =D with the crowd i was with, having a great time in phuket had never been a question of how, when and where.. it simply came naturally =D see for yourself! ^_^
