tocino and longanisa ala moi
my pangga and i spent this weekend together doing household chores.. cleaning, fixing stuffs and cooking =)i made longanisa and tocino yesterday.. i prepared them at noon and cooked some of the longanisa for dinner.. according to my food critic.. hehehe.. it was ok! mamam daw! hahaha! =p but i find it a wee-bit salty.. i told him that i'll lessen the salt next time.. but he said he likes it as it is.. ;)
i didnt cook the tocino as it needs to cure first.. but we did eat it for lunch today.. hehehe.. and success na naman daw.. hahaha! good thing i remember how to cook it still.. i made some tocino when i was assigned in chicago last.. let's see.. when was that again.. uhmmm.. 2003.. =)
i love seeing my pangga with a good appetite.. especially if im the one who prepared the food.. =D

janey, you cured longganisa and tocino from scratch?! or yung parang salitre powder ek-ek? grabe, miss ko na tocino, haven't attempted that one yet eh. hehehe! =P
nope, no saltpetre.. vinegar lang gamit ko to speed up the curing process.. none of the pinkish color that we usually see on tocino.. =)
