promoting mandarin
on the news last night.. a program was held to promote mandarin here in singapore.. from what i understood.. they are gearing towards teaching the main chinese language because there are a lot of dialects being used.. well, actually i know only of mandarin and fukien.. but they said there are others..they were interviewing people on how mandarin have helped them or how not knowing have put them in an embarrasing situation..
there was this guy who was telling his story on the plane.. the stewardess was speaking to him in mandarin, distributing food.. and with what little chinese he knew.. he responded with something that the stewardess clearly didnt understand.. and then.. this was what's funny about the story.. the stewardess placed a sticker on the guy's chest saying 'english spoken only'..
well i wasnt bothered so much by the grammar.. imagine being tagged liked that! =S hey, i still speak the universal language.. so no stickers for me! =p

oo nga ... bakit kailangan pa ng stickers ... and natawa ako sa comment ni Harbs - tama ka dyan, buti di sa noo! kakahiya yun sobra!
hahaha! honga noh.. pano kung sa noo kaya? =S
di ko nga din gets bat kelangan ng sticker.. hehe.. para siguro di sayang laway nila in saying stuffs that you dont even understand.. =S
