language barrier

it's saturday and there's nothing to do.. hehe.. actually im reading a book by agatha christie.. my h2b's sister has a shelf of them.. =D

last saturday though.. we had to wake up early to go to a certain clinic at Tampines.. we have to get our PE as per our job requirement.. it was an hour ride from where we are.. and yup! you guessed it right.. we got lost again.. haha! we always get lost.. in fact, it feels different if we dont.. =p my h2b calls it as an adventure.. which it is! (if we have the luxury of time =p)

15 minutes after getting on the bus.. 3 kids hopped in.. the eldest of the 3 talked to the driver and from how it looks she was kinda suprise of how much they would need to pay.. well, i really could not say if that was the case as they where speaking in mandarin (just a guess.. people here either speak mandarin or the malay language)..

then she went to her seat.. after a few minutes, she started to cry.. poor thing.. =( my h2b and i were so affected.. i dont know why.. maybe because we know how it is to be by ourselves..

we wanted to help badly.. the question is how.. pangga tried to speak to one of them.. but i guess, they were one of the few people who dont speak english.. =S

it was sooo frustrating! there she was crying and here we are wanting to help them, but cant! eventually they were able to put together the little money each of them has and pay..

an hour after.. we alighted at Tampines.. hoping that those 3 kids would get to where they needed to be..
