bangkok

bangkok is the very first city i wanted to visit when my friends and i decided go to thailand..

but since we have guys in our group who'd much rather stay in the hotel than go shopping (as bangkok is known as one of the shopping havens), we decided to go to phuket instead.. there was nothing to regret about that though.. as you may have seen in my previous post about our escapade there.. =)

so this time.. off to bangkok we go (on the last day of august 2007).. gewi, her pangs, rach and moi..

the airport was way better than back home.. but once you hit the road.. it's like being back in manila..

we immediately checked out the food outlets surrounding our hotel after we checked in as we were all famished.. 35 baht for lunch.. that's cheap! =D

the food courts reminded me of our canteen back in elementary where you have to exchange your money for chips then use the chips to buy food.. though in bangkok it was paper money instead of chips..

here are some of our pixs.. =D

goofing off at the grand pearl cruise

MBK. One of the malls that shouldnt be missed.

their national costume.. i think.. =">

in the streets of thailand

the tuktuk! thailand's version of our tricycle

hanging out while waiting for our cruise ship =p

goofing off at the temples *lol* buti di kami nahuli =p

lastly, aside from seeing the gma artist (na hindi ko kilala na kilala ni gewi and rach), i saw ate joyce! sa ayutthaya! small world huh? =D

though i didnt go to bangkok to do shopping.. i didnt expect that there wouldnt be any for me.. i think gewi got the most luck that day.. i wonder why.. nuninuninuninu..

all in all, our trip to bangkok was F-U-N, fun! The tours, cruises, food, food, more food.. and the shopping (well, at least for gewi and rache =p).. definitely a place to go back to..

a tip though, you should be physically prepared for all the walking that you'll be doing.. right gewi? =p it took every ounce of strength and will in her body to make each step from the plane back to the airport when we got back at SG.. mwehehe.. tears of uhmm.. joy?.. every step of the way.. hahaha!

there's still more to bangkok than i have experienced and seen so far.. next time, it's gonna be with my hubby.. =)
