twister in singapore?
~05.25.2007 between 2:30 to 3:00 PM~
There was a sudden commotion behind me and people were crowding by the window.. naturally i got curious.. what was so great that people left what they were currently doing at office hours?
and there it was..

a twister in singapore..
being the designated photographer of our group.. i ran towards the window armed with my phone (haha!), and caught the 'twister' (both still picture and video).. im pretty sure a lot of people did.. it was something that people rarely see.. (i cant upload photos here in the office.. the picture above was borrowed from another site..)
it was amazing to see it for real but there was also a feeling of panic.. should we evacuate or simply watch until it has passed? one of our officemates was using a binocular for a better view.. sadly, she got carried away that she forgot to lend the binoculars to us.. hehe.. but it's ok.. the view was cool nonetheless..
she said that the 'twister' hit some of the boats and ships.. however, it was like rain just passed by them.. nothing happened..
it was a bad thing to think of but i was waiting for things, ships, trucks, to go flying about.. hahaha! that's how i see it on tv.. =p
it was only the following day that i read in the paper that it wasnt really a twister or tornado.. it was just a waterspout.. caused by the drastic change in weather here in singapore..
now, that's why there was really no damage anywhere near it..
it merely provided people with a spectacular view of what nature can do.. as well as provided people something to talk about..
a nice jolt during the after lunch sleepy moments.. =D

waterspout? So it's not air? curious lang.
It looks cool, though! Of course, I say that because I wasn't there. I'm sure had I been there, I'd be running for my life. =)
scaaary! anything bigger than the building where i'm at, i'm scared of it.
waterspout.. according to mr. google -- A rapidly rotating column of air extending from a cumulonimbus cloud with a circulation that reaches the surface of the water, (ie a tornado over water).
hehehe.. =D
wala akong naintindihan dun sa explanation ni Mr. Google. =P
