just call me the pelican

kewl! =)

that's what the main character in the pelican brief said when the reporter asked for her name..

i know the novel has been made into a movie a couple of years back but i never really liked the sound of the title.. it didnt intrigue me.. so di ko pinanood..

it's a good thing my pangga bought the book though.. it was a great read.. i found myself staying up late just to read a couple more.. and a couple more.. until my eyes can see nothing but blurred letters.. =p

there were also times while reading chase scenes, i will find myself reading faster.. hahahah! then i have to go back just to make sure i understood what i just read.. nadadala ako nung kwento e..

im not sure if reading 'the devil wears prada' will come close to the reading experience.. anyway, im still in the first few pages.. i cant really tell.. and besides, it's a totally different story.. will let you guys know.. ;)

it's about a law student who came up with a brief or a dissertation explaining her theory about why two supreme court justices were murdered. she gave it to her lover (who is also her professor) to read, just for the heck of it.. (she was about to throw it anyway) and the brief got passed from one hand to the other..

and all of a sudden she finds herself hiding and running for her life.. almost getting killed on certain occasions.. people who knows about her brief are getting killed.. proving that her crazy idea was not so crazy after all..

she met a journalist in the middle of the story who would eventually run with her while they both try to fill in the gaps and find concrete proof for the pelican brief ..
