bad ache and pooting
i just read lei's post last night and funny enough i remembered this..
my 2 officemates were making fun of each other..
girl1: girl2 is a bad ache..
me: huh? bad ache?
girl1: yeah, she's a bad ache.. *making a round shape with her hand*
me: *confused look*
girl2: you know.. the.. the ache.. *making a round shape with her hand then acted as if cracking something*
me: OH! egg! a bad EGG..
girl1 & girl2: =p yes!?
girl2: that's how we pronounce it.. you know the number eight..
me: yeah?
girl2: bad ei-gg *still sounding like ache*
~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~
girl2: you know a-liyen right?
me: yes (not sure about the spelling.. but it's a chinese word for a gangster member, i think)
girl2: here's another word.. kah-liyen..
me: *repeating after her* kah-liyen (again not sure about the spelling)
me: what does it mean?
girl2: uhmmm.. you see.. when you have lots of work.. you say pooting
me: pooting?
girl2: yeah, pooting =)
me: so is kah-liyen and pooting the same?
girl2: yeah, yeah, the same
me: is pooting a chinese word too?
girl2: no!
me: e?
girl1 & girl2: it's english!
me: huh? how come i dont know what it means? *really confused*
girl2: it's spelled as p-o-o-..
me: wait let me search it in google *launches IE*
girl2: it's spelled as p-o-o-r-t-h-i-n-g
me: *still not getting it* *takes a second look at the word*
girl2: no, no, no.. *saw what i typed* it's two words..
me: OH! poor thing!
girl1 & girl2: =S you speak slang lah.. *laughed*
me: *thinking how i was speaking slang* *laughed with them*

uyyy, i can soooo relate! ache nga un eight... nalalaman ko lng na 8 pala un pag kasama ng maraming numbers... like when they mention phone numbers... i remember...
